Events in Northwest Indiana

One scheduling detail makes things easy: Lake, Porter and LaPorte counties all run on Central Time, the same as Chicago, so a 9 a.m. install means 9 a.m. for everyone. Just keep in mind that Berrien County, Michigan, right across the line from LaPorte County, is on Eastern Time, in case vendors or guests are coming from that side.

Event rooms in the region include banquet halls and conference centers around Merrillville, Schererville and Crown Point, along with hotels, restaurants, church and VFW halls, and country clubs. Lake County also has casino properties in Hammond, East Chicago and Gary. If your event is in a hotel or casino ballroom, ask early about vendor load-in times and rules, and pass them along with your quote request.

Along the lake, Porter County holds much of the Indiana Dunes, and towns like Chesterton, Porter and Michigan City host summer events close to the beach. Sand is the main problem for a floor wrap there. The surface underneath has to be swept clean before install, and grit tracked in during the party scuffs any floor, so put a mat at the entrance. Halls in the region often book more than one event in a weekend. Tell us when the previous event clears out and when yours starts, and whether the hall wants the wrap pulled up afterward, so we can plan both the install and the removal.

Homes and businesses in Northwest Indiana

Older, closely built homes are common in the lakefront cities, and the towns to the south have more recent subdivisions. A wrap works on finished basements, playrooms, home gyms and garages with a smooth, dry floor, and it’s a low-commitment way to refresh a rental between tenants. This is also a heavy industrial region. The steel mills in Gary and East Chicago are still among Lake County’s largest employers, and the area has plenty of plants, warehouses and contractor yards. Pricing

In Northwest Indiana, a printed and installed wrap is $11 per square foot, with a $750 minimum for installs. Ship-to-you pricing for self-install is $8 per square foot. Pulling the wrap up after the event costs $350, custom design is $150 flat, and an order needed in under 48 hours carries a 25% rush charge. For scale, a 20×20 ft floor installed is $4,400, and an 8×8 ft floor installed hits the $750 minimum. Residential and commercial jobs are quoted individually. Northwest Indiana questions

Do you come out as far as Michigan City?

Yes. Michigan City and the rest of LaPorte County are in our core install area at standard pricing. If your event is farther east, over the line into Michigan, we quote the install with travel.

Can you work around a banquet hall’s weekend schedule?

Yes. Give us the hall’s access window for your event and whether they need the floor cleared afterward; removal is a $350 add-on.

Can you print safety floor markings for a plant or warehouse?

Yes. Send your floor layout and we’ll print walkway lanes, zone markings and arrows to match it. We don’t certify markings against any standard, so if your safety team follows a specific color or marking scheme, send it and we’ll print to it.

Can we use a wrap for an event near the Dunes?

Yes, as long as it’s indoors or under a tent with a hard floor. The wrap shouldn’t go on sand, open decking or anywhere that stays wet.
