Trade show and brand activation floor graphics in Chicago
Booth floors, logo floors and activation graphics printed in-house near Chicago, with rush in under 48 hours available.
We print trade show and brand activation floor graphics in-house in the Chicago area: booth floors, logo floors, pop-up activations and event lobbies. Because our material supplier is a few minutes away, local jobs often turn around the same week, and rush in under 48 hours is available when a show date sneaks up on you.
What we print for shows and activations
- Booth floors. A full-color floor across your booth space, with your logo, product imagery or a pattern that ties into the backwall.
- Logo centerpieces. A single logo graphic in the middle of the booth or at the entrance, for when a full floor isn’t needed.
- Brand activations. Pop-up spaces, sampling events, product launches and photo moments where the floor is part of the set.
- Wayfinding and aisle graphics. Footprints, numbered stops and directional graphics, where the venue and show allow them.
- Corporate galas and conference lobbies. Logo floors at registration, in a hotel ballroom foyer or on a dance floor for the after-party.
Every graphic is laminated with a textured, slip-resistant floor laminate, so it holds up to foot traffic and doesn’t turn the booth into a skating rink.
Check the exhibitor manual first
This is the step that trips people up. Convention centers, hotels and show organizers usually have written rules about what can be stuck to the floor and who is allowed to install it. Those rules live in the exhibitor manual or the venue’s event guidelines, and they vary from show to show.
Here’s how strict it can get. McCormick Place, Chicago’s convention center, has more than 2.6 million square feet of exhibit halls and hosts many shows. One exhibitor manual we read for a show there prohibits decals and other adhesive materials on the walls, pillars and floor of the exhibit areas, requires every booth to have carpet or other flooring with no concrete showing, and requires outside contractors to file paperwork, send a certificate of insurance and get badged on site. Another venue’s guidelines we read require management approval for carpet adhesive graphics, with requests due weeks before the event.
We are not an official contractor at any venue, and we can’t tell you what your show allows. Before you order, check:
- Whether floor graphics are allowed in booths, in aisles, or not at all
- Whether they need approval, and the deadline for submitting it
- Who is allowed to install: your own staff, the show’s labor, or an outside contractor with paperwork
- What the booth floor will be: carpet, rented hard flooring or bare concrete
- When everything has to be removed, and who pays if something is left behind
Get the answers in writing from show management or the general service contractor. If outside contractors can’t install at your show, we can print and ship the graphic so whoever the show allows can lay it.
The surface underneath matters
Our floor wraps go on smooth, hard, clean surfaces. Many booths are carpeted, so a printed booth floor usually means rented hard flooring first, or a hard floor you bring. Hotel ballrooms, showrooms, lobbies and activation spaces often already have a hard floor that works. Send photos and we’ll tell you what to expect. Our article on whether a floor wrap can damage the floor covers the surface question in more detail, and our FAQ answers common questions about slip resistance and removal.
Pricing
Short-term event floors use our event pricing: $8 per square foot printed and shipped, or $11 per square foot printed and installed in Chicagoland, southeast Wisconsin and northwest Indiana, with a $750 minimum. Removal after the event is $350, design from scratch is $150 flat, and rush under 48 hours is 25% more.
Worked example: a 10 x 10 ft booth floor is 100 sq ft, so it’s $800 printed and shipped, or $1,100 installed where the show allows our crew. On a rush, the shipped price becomes $800 x 1.25 = $1,000.
Longer-term commercial work, like a permanent lobby logo, retail promo graphics or gym logo floors, is custom quoted after we see the space. See commercial floor graphics and our pricing page.
Artwork
Send your logo and brand files and we’ll build the floor from them. Vector logos (AI, EPS, SVG or PDF) scale cleanly to floor size. If you only have a small image, tell us and we’ll help sort out what will print well. If you need a layout built from scratch, that’s $150 flat. The gallery has design concepts to start from.
Trade show floor graphic questions
Can you install at McCormick Place?
That depends on your show’s rules, not on us. Check your exhibitor manual for floor graphic rules and contractor requirements. If outside installers aren’t allowed, we can print and ship to you.
How fast can you turn around a booth floor?
Local jobs often happen the same week, since our material supplier is nearby. Rush under 48 hours is available for 25% more.
Can a floor graphic go directly on booth carpet?
Our wraps are made for smooth hard surfaces, so plan on hard flooring in the booth. Call us with what the show provides and we’ll talk through options.
Do you do events outside Chicago?
We install across Chicagoland, southeast Wisconsin and northwest Indiana, and ship anywhere in the US. See the service area.
Can you do the dance floor for our company party too?
Yes. A logo on the dance floor is one of the simplest corporate event designs. See dance floor wraps or the smaller monogram and logo decal option.
